Since this site came up back in 2000 the manufacturing world has been using devices called 3D printers. This printer prints a object or part from matter. It is not at the sub-atomic level yet but for those who dont want to go sub-atomic this is a way to get started with a star trek style replicator. You fill the tubes up with your favorite material. Use a modified cad file with a pre-built machine and your in business.
