3D printer Good for printing matter. Something the novice can do.

Fusion/trapper reactor Here is a good reactor to make elements with.

Transmuting reactor Good way to make elements but dangerious, radioactive, and mostly not legal.

Distilliation isotope seperation reactor Seperating isotopes using their boiling points.

electrolysis reactor Good way to seperate isotopes but can be dangerious depending on what your working with.

How to seperate isotopes(Example: hydrogen and oxygen are isotopes of water(H20). Again, also good for those hard to get items.

Reactor for storing created elements. Safe place to store and contain all this stuff.

There are many different ways to make matter I tried to show the most used methods here. If the matter to be made is heavier than the starting material fusion/trapping is used. Fusion is two elements becoming one element. Trapping is using one element like helium to fuse with elements to make them heavier and heavier elements. It is used in the stars to make matter.

If the elements to be made has less mass than what is in the container then a process known as electrolysis is used which rips matter up into smaller and smaller chunks.

Transmuting takes a element and gives it more mass by adding particles to it.

Isotope seperation takes elements and breaks them apart into elements with less mass.

Distillation seperates elements one by one using their boiling points. Now, this can also be done electromaticly, with lasers, and other methods in isotope seperation. But im not trying to write a book here even though it looks that way. Point is more than one way to do things here.

Ways to heat a plasma.

1. Ohmic Heating - The plasma can be heated to temperatures up to 20-30 million K through the current passing through the plasma. It is called ohmic or resistive heating; the heat generated depends on the resistance between the plasma and current. However, as temperature rises, resistance drops, making this form of heating less and less effective. Other methods are neccessary in addition in order to heat the plasma to required temperatures.

2. Neutral-Beam Injector - High energy, neutral atoms are shot into the plasma, and are immediately ionized. These ions then get trapped by the magnetic fields, and transfer some of their energy to the surrounding plasma particles through collisions, thus raising the overall temperature.

3. Magnetic Compression - The plasma can be heated through a rapid compression, which is possible by increasing the magnetic field. In the tokamak, this compression occurs by moving the plasma to an area of a higher magnetic field.

4. Radiofrequency Heating - High-frequency waves are launched into the plasma through the use of oscillators. If the waves have the right wavelength, their energy can be transferred into certain particles, which then transfer the energy through collisions with others.

Footnote:
Normally fusion is used for heat or weapons. It is not normally used this way except in nature.
Other equipment that will be needed is a evaporator, condenser, way to move hot plasma, and other un-named parts. Some things you might need are in the last two links listed on this page.
People think heating a gas to a fusion temperature is impossible. What they need to know is that the trick is to keep adding more energy to the plasma than what is being lost. So, it has to be held in a vacuum with a magnetic field in a way that the heat can not escape. Its like global warming. In outer space it is freezing cold but the suns rays are adding energy to the earths atmosphere. The gases in the atmosphere are preventing the heat from leaving the earth so it is warming up. The same is true with heating a plasma to a fusion temperature. If the heat can not leave it is going to get hotter and hotter.

You may need the replicator if you intend to make a nuclear reactor using radioactive material. This replicator works on the principle of two lasers pointing at each other and the photons hit each other canceling each others energy. The matter gets trapped between the photons and is held in place. Now one laser is slightly adjusted to be weaker than the other and the matter goes in the direction of the weakest laser away from the strongest laser at a controlled speed. This method is made to move matter in an assembly line fashion as if sitting on a conveyor belt. It can also form a particle beam by getting the particles moving in one direction then shutting off the lasers. This will be done to bond matter with matter held in the particle atom trap. When the matter is finished being put together it is sent to the lasers at the end of the belt and sent to the target. Deuterium has one neutron and one proton already so all that is needed is one electron. These atoms fused together will make many types of elements. When making matter deuterium is good to start with.

What is missing here is a way to get the particles to fuse. It takes energy to make particles fuse. Usually with this setup the particle is bombed with other particles until the element is formed which is not practical and is time consuming. There are methods being studied to overcome this using RF and electric-magnetic energy. Heat is another one way to make particles fuse and so is the energy stored in a fast moving particle which is what is normally used. So energy in general is the secret. The particles or elements need to be infused with energy before being bonded with other particles or elements.
