The radioactive thermal generator commonly referred to as a RTG is mainly used in very remoteplaces and off earth missions. In the old Russia they had a unit that fit over a oil lamp(No radioactive material) that they used to run their radios.

Simple way to make metal parts or build an entire machine shop from scrap metal, sand, and a little bit of wood. With books from Lindsay publications and a good computer and software there is no limit to what you can do.
